Why We're Now Doing Cohort-Based & Quarterly Registration
At The Rising Beyond Community, we understand the unique challenges survivors of domestic violence and narcissistic abuse face when navigating their healing journey. Our mission is to provide a space where healing can flourish, not just through shared experiences but with a structured support system that encourages accountability, connection, growth and safety. Your safety is our top priority. We understand that the healing journey after abuse can be deeply personal and vulnerable, and it's crucial that our space remains secure and supportive for all members.
By shifting to cohort-based and quarterly-based registration, we’re taking an important step toward ensuring that those who join the community are truly survivors ready to heal. This approach offers several key safety benefits:
By shifting to cohort-based and quarterly-based registration, we’re taking an important step toward ensuring that those who join the community are truly survivors ready to heal. This approach offers several key safety benefits:
- Screened Membership: Cohort-based registration allows us to carefully screen new members before they enter the community. This process helps ensure that those joining are survivors who are committed to their healing journey, and not individuals who may have harmful intentions, such as abusive partners or "flying monkeys" (individuals acting on behalf of an abuser).
- A Trusted Environment: With the quarterly registration, we create a more stable, trusted environment where members can build authentic connections and focus on their healing without fear of intrusion. This structure reduces the likelihood of unwanted outside influence, ensuring that the community remains a safe and nurturing space.
- Community Connection: The cohort model creates a sense of camaraderie and accountability. You will heal alongside others who are on a similar journey, which encourages a strong, supportive community. These connections can become lasting sources of strength and encouragement as you navigate the complexities of life after abuse.
- Fostering Empowerment: By ensuring only those who are genuinely seeking healing join each cohort, we create an environment where members can feel empowered to share openly and safely. This allows for deeper trust, vulnerability, and growth within the community, helping everyone feel supported in their healing journey.

I hope and imagine that everyone feels heard as I always did. Group is a safe place to learn to use my voice again and find the words for everything that I’ve experienced which is an on-going process. I appreciate this safe space for the times that I want to voice something on my own behalf but also because it allows me to hear others and know I’m not alone... The support and encouragement we all share with one another in group is priceless. |
Court doesn’t seem as scary after being in this group. Sybil Cummin has created a community and resource that has been helpful to me and to several of my clients. I’ve been so impressed with her articles and webinars, and appreciate her smart and direct, while also sometimes sassy, style. She presents ways to cope with one of the most difficult kinds of situations a person can find themselves in. Her validating and comforting words are priceless to women who have to navigate abusive relationships and find healing afterwards. |
The Rising Beyond Podcast and Community has given me the insight, comfort and validation to move on with my life confidently post divorce. Sybil passion for her work in undeniable, her energy is unmatchable, and her knowledge is unfathomable. In fact, Sybil is a true “unicorn” in the field of mental health. |
The Rising Beyond Community Scholarship
Financial abuse occurs in 99% of all domestic violence cases (NNEDV).
And while there is no specific statistic on the number of women affected by financial damage due to narcissistic abuse and post-separation abuse, we know that this is a commonly used tactic to maintain power and control over you even after you have left. If you have been significantly affected by financial abuse, we want to offer additional support. If the cost of the membership is a barrier to you becoming a member, please fill out the scholarship application in full at the link below. Once we receive your application, we will contact you within 3-5 business days. |
