I hope and imagine that everyone feels heard as I always did. Group is a safe place to learn to use my voice again and find the words for everything that I’ve experienced which is an on-going process. I appreciate this safe space for the times that I want to voice something on my own behalf but also because it allows me to hear others and know I’m not alone. Coming out of one of these relationships whether by choice or by discard is extremely scary. The support and encouragement we all share with one another in group is priceless. Court doesn’t seem as scary after being in this group. |

The Rising Beyond Community Scholarship
Financial abuse occurs in 99% of all domestic violence cases (NNEDV).
And while there is no specific statistic on the number of women affected by financial damage due to narcissistic abuse and post-separation abuse, we know that this is a commonly used tactic to maintain power and control over you even after you have left. If you have been significantly affected by financial abuse, we want to offer additional support. If the cost of the membership is a barrier to you becoming a member, please fill out the scholarship application in full at the link below. Once we receive your application, we will contact you within 3-5 business days. |

In order to empathize with someone's experience, you must be willing to believe them as they see it and not how you imagine their experience to be.

To forgive is to grieve – for what happened, for what didn't happen – and to give up the need for a different past.

Being trauma-informed does not mean you allow folks to be hurtful without consequence. Trauma may explain hurtful behavior, but does not excuse it.
